MEAT DECLARATION – CONSUMER OPINION AND CONFIDENCE

One of the main goals food safety measures is to increase consumer confidence in general, and meat particular, therefore consumers are provided with information about quality through declaration. Consumer have become central issues chain. Recent developments labelling, traceability assurance schemes offer a large amount available consumer. Declaring today one most reliable ways informing quality. For purposes this study, data were collected by surveying 1,000 from Banja Luka Gradiška areas. The results survey show that majority (98.1%) believe should declaration statistically important (p0.05) on expiration date (75.8% responses) compared other (nutritional value, method production, country origin). way packaged also for (45.3% responses). Also, statistical significantly different answers given related trust safety/quality obtained (butcher, seller, relative, friend, cook). showed they mostly received doctors/nutritionists (53.1%), often neutral attitude towards protection associations (41.9%). It not sufficiently clarified what type looking declarations, especially when it comes products. Because that, continuous examination needed, including sociological economic factors, motivates them buy, characteristics require sources most.
